I got here from a link on Ruth Gledhill's blog.

Your entry might be misread in a way that might be misleading. Some 30 local churches have left the Episcopal Church for Kenya, not just one in Texas and one in Massachusetts. [I'm a member of one in Florida, and I know of two others in this state.] More than 200 have left for some other African oversight (Uganda, Nigeria, and Rwanda are big.)

Anyway, never visited before, but after looking around the blog you can bet I will be back.

Because the center of global Christianity has moved away from the West and to the South and East, African and Asian theologies and Christian movements are becoming more influential, not just in number, but in practice. The African bishops call for American Episcopal Church is just one example of that kind of influence. Does that clarify?

I have a question, I'm not sure I know what that means. What would it mean to to have Southern Christianity influence in the world?
