Heath Ledger is Dead

It appears that the Dark Knight was darker than anyone could have imagined for Heath Ledger. Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment today, surrounded by sleeping pills. At age 28, with a promising career, his death is especially tragic. What was going on in this young man’s soul?

My mortality had a big kick to the gut when I heard this news yesterday. It’s always a reality check when someone your own age dies. My heart also went out to his young daughter and girlfriend.
I wonder too what was going on in his soul. Whether it was accidental or suicide, it seems that his role as the Joker was definitely tormenting at least his sleep and maybe more. There’s lots of buzz whether this was method-acting gone to far or not.
Thanks for the reminder to pray for his family and the Hollywood community that is no doubt very shaken.
