Sermon on the Curse of the Law & McCarthy’s The Road

This weekend I preached a sermon called “Redemption: The Curse, The Road, & the Tree.” The key biblical text was Galatians 3:13: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us- for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”. My key cultural text was Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer prize-winning The Road.
